Welcome to the
Blaze's Story...
|
It's hard to imagine
why anyone would be so cruel to such a wonderful and loving dog.
Blaze is a big goofy boy who just begs to be loved and, even with the severe
injuries on him, he gazes at you with big brown trusting eyes. Blaze
was brought in to the Doc Williams SPCA March 6, 2008 with severe burns
covering most of his back and sides. It was determined that his burns
had been caused by someone either throwing hot liquid on him or by lighter
fluid which was ignited. He spent several days in intensive care
where his prognosis was guarded. After lots of TLC, Blaze managed
to pull through and made a full recovery, but the scars remain. Blaze
was now ready for a forever home.

Update...
Even after being so
horribly mistreated, Blaze has never stopped loving people or trying to
please everyone he meets. It was this very sweet and loving nature
that earned Blaze a place in his new family's heart.
On May 17, 2008 Blaze
was adopted by the Legette family. Now Blaze lives in a lap of luxury.
He has many siblings who keep him on his toes and a big bed he shares with
his new Mom and Dad.
Blaze will probably
wear the scars of abuse for the rest of his life, but has found a wonderful
and loving home with people who more than make up for the tragedies he's
suffered. |

The Office
of the Secretary of State of South Carolina reports that 88.6 cents
of every dollar donated to the Doc Williams SPCA (dba Berkeley County SPCA)
is used for program services. These services provide care for homeless,
abused and neglected animals.
We appreciate your
generous donations and are proud to show such a high percentage of the
